It is recommended once installed that the ice machine should have adequate ventilation around the machine, however, as long the vents are not blocked off completely, it is acceptable. All under bench units have front ventilation. It is acceptable to have these units installed hard up against the side walls as long as the front vents are exposed. Allow room at rear for pipework. To double daily ice production without using additional floor space, some modular unit models are capable of double stacking. Locate the ice machine in the area where the ambient air temperature stays between 1°C and 43°C PLUMBING REQUIREMENTS AND INSTALLATION Installation of this unit requires the following to within 1 metre. Standard 10 - 15 amp power point (depending on size of machine). 3/4 inch cold water tap (BSP - British Standard Pipe). Low drain (Tundish) ICE MACHINE MUST CONNECT TO COLD WATER SUPPLY Water temperature: Minimum 0.5°C, Maximum 32.C Ice making water pressure: Minimum 138kpa, Maximum 550kpa Condenser water pressure ( water-cooled models) Minimum 138kpa, Maximum 1035kpa Use separate drain lines for ice machine and storage bin Ice machine drain tubing 3/4 inches minimum I.D. Ice making water drain and bin drain must be vented to the atmosphere. Do not vent condenser drain (water cooled models).
